Our best memories are always enhanced by our senses.  The sights, smells and sounds of a place or time can live in our hearts and minds for a lifetime.  In a heartbeat, we can be called back to a moment in the past if we've been touched by beauty and love.

Bird & Bee believes that beauty is in the details.  If these details are infused with love and merriment, we know the events we build together and the memories made, will last.

Bird & Bee Vintage Rental Co. are Emery Silva and David Black, a husband and wife team who have loved and worked together for more than a decade.  Known to friends as the couple who throw over-the-top parties, often requiring elaborate costumes, these best friends and life partners bring an eccentric flare and lightheartedness to all that they do.

Only recently did Bird & Bee finally tie the knot, and in doing so, found a calling which seemed to perfectly capture and put to use their very unique and special talents.  At Bird & Bee, creating large-scale thematic events and building a breathtaking sense of atmosphere is our bliss.

With an early introduction to theatre, Emery developed a fondness for set dressing and design, not to mention a flare for the dramatic.  Emery has a Specialized Degree with Honours in Art & Art History from the University of Toronto combined with a Studio Art Certificate from Sheridan College in 2006.  In life, she is a secondary school art teacher on an occasional basis, and an all-the-time artist (painter) and now owner of Bird & Bee Vintage Rental Co. working alongside her husband David.

Husband and support to a creative mad genius, David may be the most patient man on Earth.  David has an English degree from the University of Toronto and has been working in the music business for over a decade.  He hopes to one day soon bring music into Bird & Bee's repertoire, but until then he will be our social media voice, and the pillars that hold up the roof.
